Attached please find the Waiver and Release that you need to have filled out and signed upon your arrival at athlete check-in.  We will have waivers on hand at check-in, but you will save a lot of time if you already have it prepared.

Check-In
Friday Evening – We will have staff and volunteers available Friday evening at CrossFit Champions for an optional Friday evening athlete check-in.  You do not have to check-in Friday night, but it will save yourself and the event staff a tremendous amount of time Saturday morning if you do.

Saturday Morning – Official athlete check-in time is 7:00 – 7:45 a.m.  Do not be late!  The earlier the better.  Please have your waiver already completed.

At check-in you will receive your event t-shirt, an event packet (to include the Schedule, the WODs, the Standards) and a few other goodies.

Teams – only one of the Team members needs to be present for check-in, but all the members of the team have to turn in a completed waiver.  So, if just one team member checks in the entire team, they have to have all the waivers with them.  Check-in cannot be completed without the waivers.

Again, check-in cannot be completed without a completed waiver!

Parking
Due to the fact that we will be using most of the property for the event, we will have only a limited amount of parking available at CrossFit Champions.  A parking director will allow you in the gates if there is parking available and you will be directed where to proceed.
Once the available parking at CrossFit Champions is full, you will be directed to park just up the road at Willow Wood Jr. High School (google map) (approximately .25mi up North Eldridge) or anywhere along the roadside so long as your vehicle is off the road (Harris County Sheriffs will ticket or tow you if you are blocking the road).

If you do park on CrossFit Champions property, you will only have the option of leaving in your vehicle at the lunch break, and you will not be able to park on CrossFit Champions property upon return.  But, why would you want to leave with all the great stuff we’ll have on hand anyway?!

We encourage you to carpool! Due to the limited parking situation and the fact that most folks will have to park up the road at the Jr. High School, we encourage you to carpool as best you can.

Dropping off – If you are directed to park up the road at the Jr. High School, you will be allowed to enter the property first and drop off your passengers and any gear you brought (coolers, bags, canopies, etc.) before proceeding to the school.

Spectators
Spectators, directly across from CrossFit Champions’ buildings, seperated only by the property’s drive, you will have a very large grassy field to set up your chairs and camps.  The field will provide lots of shade from trees and its also the perfect spot for viewing the activities of the day as well as easy access to all the sponsors and vendors.

Athletes
Athletes, we’ve got some good things set up just for you.
- You will have a 1500 sq.ft. building set aside just for you and your stuff. You can rest in there or take a nap or just stow your stuff. This area will give you access to your own bathrooms as well.
- We will be providing free waters for the athletes.
- Paths In Healing Bodyworks will be present for your massage needs.
- Progenex will be present with enough product so that each of you can, if you choose, have a dose of Recovery after each of your WODs.

WODs
The WODs for Oktoberfest Obliteration II will be posted online at  http://crossfitchampions.com/oktoberfest-obliteration-ii/wods on Wednesday evening, October 6, 2010 (approximately 8:00 p.m.).  The comments form will be open on this page so you can ask any questions regarding the WODs AFTER you have read the Standards (also included on the page) AND watched the Standards Videos (also included on the page).

ATHLETES, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO STUDY THE WODS AND STANDARDS. We will not be conducting a long, comprehensive movements and standards meeting the morning of the event, only a brief Q&A.  If you have any questions about the WODs or the movement Standards, ask them in the comments form on the page linked above, or ask them during the Q&A Saturday morning.

Standards
When the WODs are posted online on the CFC website, we will also post a full description of the movement standards as well as video demonstrations of the movements, to include what will and will not count and any modifications allowed based on division.
