CrossFit Champions is the culmination of a lifelong dream of building a community of like-minded individuals, all striving for the same goal…true health and serious fitness, not just the appearance of it! We love what we do and have built a business through helping others achieve their goals through hard work. Stop by, call or email us about what makes CrossFit Champions different and how we can help you really get fit. There is no sales pitch other than what you are reading here. We want committed folks who are ready to work hard and reap the rewards of their efforts. Isn’t it about time to have your efforts pay off? We think so.

Training in CrossFit is different than training in any other type of gym. We want your experience to be beneficial from the start and to help you make the progress you are looking for as soon as possible.

To Join CrossFit Classes:

(If you want to try us out before committing, we have no problem with that. We are happy to let you try the CrossFit Classes for 1 week free so you can try us out before signing up for anything. During the free week, we will scale the workouts to a lower intensity level for your safety. To take advantage of the 1 week free, please Contact Us, or stop by for a visit, so we can arrange the start of the free week. After your free week, or if you don’t need to try the free week, you will complete the  Elements before officially joining the CrossFit Classes.)

There is one way to get started at with CrossFit training at CrossFit Champions – 1-On-1 Elements.

Elements

Everyone starts in our Elements sessions which consist of 5 1-On-1 lessons.  The Elements sessions are designed to get you up to speed and on the right track in CrossFit’s recognized 9 Foundational movements; squat, front squat, over head squat, dead lift, sumo deadlift high pull, med ball clean, shoulder press/push press, push jerk…as well as many other movements common to CrossFit training. Elements classes are mandatory attendance, and passing of a skills test is required for graduation.

We discuss the importance of nutrition. How it is foundational to your health, both mental and physical, and required for optimum athletic performance. We hold the view that proper nutrition maximizes human performance rather than aiding in sustenance alone. It is the foundation upon which all of your efforts are built, upon which your health is built! We are advocates of Paleo eating because it WORKS and without the gimmicks!

You can sign up for your Elements sessions by coming into the gym and signing up in person.

After completing the Elements, you and your Instructor will discuss the best course of action for you and your fitness at that point; joining CrossFit Classes or progressing with 1-On-1 CrossFit sessions.

Why do I have to take the Elements?

The Elements sessions are for your benefit.  CrossFit training is likely different from any type of training you have done before. Whether we are talking about the intensity of the training, the broad and general inclusion of varied training modalities, or the biomechanical and movement mastery expected of you in CrossFit training, proper CrossFit training demands much more of you than other programs. The purpose of these Elements sessions are to introduce you to the movements, stimulus and equipment used in CrossFit workouts at a pace relative to your current level of fitness and work capacity.

Can’t I just jump right in?

You will get much more benefit, and faster progress, from the CrossFit classes with a solid training foundation under your feet (the Elements).  Having completed the Elements sessions, you will fully understand the nomenclature, training order, and workout formats used in the CrossFit classes without slowing down the pace of the class.

But, CrossFit XYX just lets people join.

We are well aware that some other CrossFit locations don’t require new members to undergo any type of Fundamentals course or On-Ramp class.  However, the vast majority of CrossFit affiliates nation-wide do have some type of beginner/new member program in place because it has been proven time and again, across hundreds of affiliates and thousands of athletes, that it is the best way to introduce people to CrossFit training.

Also, you have to understand that we are looking for the truly dedicated and committed individuals that are serious about their health and fitness goals, as are the entire staff at CrossFit Champions.  The small monetary cost of  the CrossFit Champions’ Elements sessions is an investment in yourself and your progress.

To Join CrossFit Kids:

Check the Schedule page to see when the CrossFit Kids classes are scheduled.  Let us know when you would like to come try a class by contacting us.  After your child has tried a free class, we’ll talk with you about signing up.
