I’m glad I enjoyed my hurricane vacation so much because I’m paying for it. To say that I showed up a little sore would be like saying the folks on the “Biggest Loser” are big boned. The 200m warm up looked and felt like The Chicken Dance at a Czech wedding. After a heavily modified (lazy) warm up I still felt like I was wearing a cast iron shirt sized for someone’s little sister while the sensation in my lower half would best be described as a giant pain filled Baboon’s ass supported by two burning sticks for legs (I can’t be the only one?). I most certainly was not alone as one of the best performers of the morning left the bar at announced strait faced “I would have done a lot better if my ass didn’t hurt so bad” (priceless) I take solace in the fact that it will all pay off in the swimsuit competition (Check with Matt and Pam for details, hope it wasn’t a secret). By the way, this was worse than the cleans on Tues.

For the first day since Ike I could have REALLY dried my hair but my right arm wouldn’t cooperate…..

What the heck was level II? I did 5×15 at 95 and it took me 27 minutes. I know I had to do the last 15 thrusters 5 at a time but geez, it couldn’t have taken that long.

  5. Terry H says:

    And my ass hurt too.

I don’t know what ya’ll are talking about…hurting asses. Quads, fore arms, delts, traps, inner thighs, core all around…but NOT my ass. I don’t know why these workouts this week are sending me into a state of panic I’ve not felt prior to workouts since…I don’t know when. It’s working out for me, but dang!

“I would have done a lot better if my ass didn’t hurt so bad” – i think that was me because I recall hand on ass as I walked away. the stairs are VERY hard today.

  8. dana says:

now that I read the comment again it can’t be me, “as one of the best performers”…

Glad to know I’m not the only one suffering. My only defense for my poor time is…. Oh Hell there is no excuse “You can’t handle the truth!!!” was going through my mind over and over and over again. Weird but I just didn’t have “it” today. Did manage a solid 30 min run post workout though. As long as “solid” can be defined as slow as a snail.

Until next time…. Up, Up, and away! Whew I need a rest day I don’t even understand myself :-P

A little disappointed with myself today. I feel like I am sliding backwards a bit. I hope I can improve on tomorrows workout. If not there is always next week, or next month, or even next year.

Thanks to the Crossfit cheerleaders, Matt Pam Chris Laura couldn’t have done it without the push, and yes my butt, chest, shoulders, arms, toes and every other muscle hurts.
