Doesn’t anyone have a comment on this? This is great stuff!

It’s kind of scary if you think about it. This Dr. Ancil Keyes character ‘massaged’ – or at least omitted – the data to create his Lipid Hypothesis. He was neither the first nor the last to do this but where were (are) the checks-and-balances? Why did no one question his results or test methodologies? The US Govt seemed to take his 1950′s hypothisis unquestioned when coming up with their Food Pyramid. I hope the US Govt isn’t so free-wheeling & trusting when it comes to scientific studies about various prescription medications!
But then again does anybody even follow the Govt’s advice? How many people truly lived by the ‘Food Pyramid’? Since 1970 the value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average has increased 2,000%. In the same amount of time McDonalds Stock has increased 20,000%. Apparently McDonalds makes a product that a lot of people want! Now come on – people know that a BigMac w/Fries isn’t good for them . . . . yet look at the lines on your drive home tonight (Wendys, KFC, Sonic, etc). I’m sure there are people out there that want to eat better and are confused by all the conflicting studies – but I submit that the majority of Americans want to eat what they want to eat & don’t give a crap if it’s good for them.
    OK, so that’s my 2cents.

I think the reason people love eating fat is that it is so satisfying. Our ancestors killed their pray and gorged on all parts of the animal including fat! Modern day Eskimos, consume a high fat diet and are very healthy. I think where we went wrong is we eat processed foods with it. I think therein lies the enemy. We are the only generation that eats processed foods and we are fat! I whole heartedly believe that. When I went back to eating just organic fruits, vegetables and chicken (with the fat), I immediately lost 21 lbs without even trying.
