Great job to everyone that did this workout. We know it was a frustrating one but you all did a great job. The OH Squat is a complex movement that requires a lot of concentration. You should all be very proud that you completed it, regardless of how it was scaled.
As you look at the pics, look for the good (active shoulders, arms straight up, heels grounded) and not so good (non-active shoulders, arms/body forward leaning, weight distributed forward to toes/balls of feet) form.

Take a look at Brian’s OH Squat! This was the first time Brian did OHS in a workout and he proved to be a phenomenal student of the movement’s cues. Fantastic job Brian!

Relearned in spades that Crossfit is about results achieved through quality and not quantity. By utilizing active shoulders and going level II, I could have been ten minutes faster with far better results in skill development. Don’t let pride drive the train, or according to Drill Instructor SSgt Pauley. “Wear your rank; don’t let your rank wear you”

I SUCK at O.H.S.
at least I know how to do them properly now.
Tim,
Why say you suck at them when tonight you were doing them correct? If you are doing them correct, you don’t suck at them! So what if the weight is light? Consistency before intensity. I’ll take your light OHSs tonight over heavy incorrect ones any day.

Thanks Matt for the kind comments on the O.H.S. I learned it from the best! But I thought my best photo shot was by my tree…..it takes alot to hold that thing up.
