YAH……I am not much of a runner. Especially after GHD’s.

I thought this one would be ok since we weren’t focusing on the upper OR lower body, but rather, the midsection…and then running. Boy was I wrong. I didn’t realize how much I use my midsection when running. My lower back hates me right now!

21:49 I always like the feeling of dead legs after the first set. It is a good feeling to know that you are being challenged! Back exstension killed the legs. Faster than I thought I would be though! Great job today. Anybody want to to go for a run tomorrow morning. Doing 6 miles on the the trails at Luetta. Let me know Starting at 6:00am

    Round 1
I’m out of the gate like its the only 800 I have to run. Pam about 100m back.

    Round 2
My lower back just took a beating with a baseball bat and Pam is now still about 100m back.

    Round 3
I’m hurting bad and the round just started. Made the turn around at the 400m mark. My lower lip mustered up the energy for a faint quiver to only see Pam 30m behind me. Needles to say Pam got me by what seemed to be the longest 5 seconds I’ve have ever experienced.
Great job Pam and the rest of the evening crew.

  12. Sandy says:

21:21..Man I thought I got a good time. Jose and Pam, that was awsome, good job guys…I am wiped after that one.

I understand the thought process of anyone who trains at home, however, if Jose hadn’t been in front of me to chase I would not have finished like I did. If Matt L hadn’t been there to pace off of and keep me from slowing down I would not have finished like I did.
I cannot say enough about the competitive aspect of working out with others. On a WOD like today’s I can hold my own with the boys. Yesterday…seriously no. If push-ups had been in this workout instead of sit-ups Jose would have kicked my rear end soundly. But since I programmed this week I got to go with my strengths and even the field with the big boys at least for one day.
That’s the other plus to training with like minded folks. No one is on top all the time. No one. And that’s a good thing. We all have to keep our egos in check.
See ya’ll for a workout on Monday!

Had a great time joining everyone at the 9:30 AM class. This was the first time for me to do this WOD with the GHD, my hammies are feeling it today. Thanks for letting me play!

It was so hot! Loved this workout. It was tough!

HOT..Now this may not seem like such a drawback but when you consider that Frosty the Snowman has a better tan and just as much hair on his head this really started to suck. But, Pam is one hundred percent right on the healthy competition. No Sandy to chase on this one and I’m probably starting to negotiate with myself on the lap 2 turnaround, did I mention how hot it was.. what were you born on the sun, it was friggin HOT.
