Another gym owner in the area wrote a post a while back on his blog discussing some of the supplements he recommends for his athletes. The article discussed something called System Enzyme Therapy and specifically mentioned a product called Wobenzym N. You all know me pretty well and you know that I don’t ever recommend supplements to our athletes that I don’t or won’t take myself, or give my family.
I’ve taken quite a bit of time looking into Wobenzym N and after finding absolutely nothing but positive literature and reports on its benefits, we decided to give it a try.
Over the last 4 weeks or so, 2 things have changed in my nutrition; 1) I stopped drinking alcohol (in the last 4 weeks, I’ve had 2-3 drinks, certainly different than the 2-3 drinks per evening I was averaging for the last year), and 2) I started taking 6-9 Wobenzym N tablets per day.
Results: I feel fantastic! What do I mean by that? I sleep better, I wake up easier, my skin and nails feel better, my joints (including aches and pains and tweaks that have been bothering me for years) don’t hurt, etc., etc. In short, for lack of a better and more detailed explanation…I FEEL BETTER. All around better.
If you are interested, we do have Wobenzym N in stock at the gym.
Systemic Enzyme Support – In the human body, hundreds of chemical reactions occur during the course of normal metabolic processes. Many chemical reactions require significant energy in order to take place, and therefore need a catalyst to allow the reaction to proceed. A catalyst lowers the energy needed for a reaction to and allow complex biochemical reactions to take place in living systems that otherwise could not occur.
As such, enzymes are molecules that maintain the natural biochemical processes that take place in the numerous systems of the human body that are responsible for maintaining the structure and function fo those systems. Enzymes interact directly with proteins and other molecules in the human body, and support internal regulatory and communication systems responsible for homeostasis (balance) and vitality.
Certain combinations of specific enzymes provide systemic enzyme support. The international literature reveals that systemic enzyme support is an effective modality for immunomodulation and for restoration of optimal function of circulatory, lymphatic, cardiac, neurological, endocrinological, reproductive, hepatic, bone, joint, muscle, renal and other tissues.
There is lots and lots of additional information found here atwww.SystemicEnzymeSupport.org. In addition, here are 2 PDF reference posters detailing all the information.
